The ultrasound technician course curriculum also includes physics, algebra, basic scan techniques, general pathology, pediatrics, duplex imaging, female reproduction system etc.
Ultrasound technician courses usually lead to a two year associates or four year bachelor’s degree. The programs should be approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health education programs and is available at colleges and universities all over the U.S. there is a one year vocational program available to candidates at any technical institute. But, these programs are available only for those who are already employed in medical centers who want to expand their skills.
